Product Description
Propylene is polymerized in the presence of an acidic catalyst to form a mixture of dimers, trimers and tetramers which can be used as a high octane fuel. Propylene is polymerized in the presence of a Ziegler catalyst to form polypropylene. Propylene and ethylene are copolymerized to form ethylene propylene rubber. Propylene is ammoxidized with ammonia in the presence of a catalyst in the presence of a catalyst to form acrylonitrile, which is a raw material for synthesizing high polymers such as plastics, rubber, and fibers. Propylene is chlorinated at a high temperature to form allyl chloride CH2=CHCH2Cl, which is a raw material for the synthesis of glycerin.
